Since our founding more than a decade ago, Integrated Breeders has proudly worked with cattle breeders, ranchers, and farmers to optimize the genetics of their herds and increase their efficiency and profitability.
Based in Hearne, Texas, we offer a range of cattle reproductive services including semen collection and storage, artificial insemination, and embryo transfer.
In 2022, Drs. Cody and Ky Pohler of Pohler Investments purchased Integrated Breeders to continue its work as an industry leader in reproductive technology. Cody and Ky are both experts in bovine reproductive management and are excited to continue to produce high-quality products while providing the best possible customer service.

Dr. Gessica Johannsen - General Manager
Gessica Johannsen, a native of Brazil, earned her bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine from UFU, Brazil, a Master of Science from the University of Tennessee, and a Ph.D. in physiology of reproduction from Texas A&M University. Throughout graduate school, Gessica researched the sire influence on pregnancy loss in cattle. Her research has led to transformative insights into the impact of bull on pregnancy outcomes and advancements in fertility assessment tools. With a strong background in animal science and reproductive technologies, Dr. Johanssen brings not only deep industry expertise but a heartfelt commitment to fostering meaningful relationships, both within our team and with the customers we serve. Gessica is passionate about fostering a family-centered, customer-focused environment and leads with a deep commitment to collaboration, integrity, and continuous innovation. We are proud to have her guiding our team and shaping the future of Integrated Breeders.

Paige Phillips - Customer Services Representative
Paige grew up in Madison County on her family’s owned and operated cattle ranch, where they run a cow-calf operation. Paige got an early start in the cattle business, working on her family’s ranch from the time she was old enough to ride a horse. She first discovered her interest in the cattle industry by listening and learning from her dad, grandfather, and uncle as she grew up. Since graduating from Texas A&M in 2019, she has worked in the agriculture and cattle industry on both the cow and bull sides. Paige has obtained valuable knowledge through her work and is continuing to do so with her work here at Integrated Breeders.

Ramon Cruz - Bovine Reproductive Technician
Ramon is a veterinarian who graduated in 1984 from the Universidad Juarez Autonoma de Tabasco, Mexico. He brings a wealth of expertise to Integrated Breeders. With a career spanning decades, he has been diagnosing pregnancies since 1985. He has become an AI technician with the American Breeder Service and became a certified embryo transfer technician from GRI in Navasora. Since November 2021, Ramon has been a valuable member of the Integrated Breeders team, contributing his extensive knowledge and passion for reproduction to our commitment to excellence in cattle reproductive services.

Bryanna Hardin - Bovine Reproductive Technician
Bryanna grew up in a small town called Sweeny, Tx, just an hour south of Houston. Back home in Sweeny, Bryanna and her family have a cow calf operation. Her passion for cattle started at an early age when she and her siblings competed at many stock shows, jackpot shows, and county fairs. Bryanna’s family delivered her passion to her at a very young age and she knew she was going to pursue a career in this field. When it was time for college it was a simple decision to pursue a degree in Animal Science focusing on Production. During Bryanna’s time at Texas A&M University she interned at Integrated Breeders in the summer of 2023. During her internship she gained knowledge about semen collection, female reproductive services, semen handling, and much more. After graduating Texas A&M in May 2024 Bryanna is now working full time at Integrated Breeders managing our female reproductive services.

Thomas Johannsen - IT Director and Facility Manager
Thomas Johannsen is a certified IT and network engineer with over 10 years of experience collaborating in the agriculture, medical, and oil industries. Passionate about using technology to modernize and improve the livestock industry, Thomas is a jack of all trades. He leverages his wide range of skills to maintain and enhance our facilities, ensuring the safety and comfort of the animals. Thomas, Gessica, and their sons, Theo and Freddie work together to exemplify the importance of family in all that they do, a value that will continue to shape our culture here at Integrated Breeders.

Katie Binder - Export Coordinator
Katie is from San Antonio, Texas and began interning at Integrated in Fall of 2024. After graduating from Texas A&M with a degree in Animal Science in December 2024, she transitioned into a full-time position, bringing both academic knowledge and hands-on experience to the field. Katie plays a key role in the exportation of bovine semen, helping to ensure international standards and protocols are met. In addition to her export work, she has valuable experience in semen collection and semen processing, giving her a well-rounded skill set in reproductive technologies. Her passion for reproductive technology and attention to detail make her a valuable part of our team.

Brylee Williams - Marketing and Advertising
Brylee, originally from Princeton, Missouri, joined the Integrated Breeders team with a strong background in agriculture and a passion for connecting science with producers. She earned her associate’s degree in Agricultural Business from Northern Oklahoma College and her bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Communications and Journalism from Texas A&M University in May 2025. Throughout her collegiate career, Brylee was a member of two nationally recognized livestock judging teams at both NOC and Texas A&M and has exhibited all four species of livestock at the national level. At Integrated Breeders, Brylee leads all marketing and advertising efforts, helping us bridge the gap between advanced reproductive technologies and the livestock industry through strategic storytelling, data-driven campaigns and innovative branding. Her creativity, deep agricultural roots, and commitment to sustainable practices make her an essential part of our mission to grow awareness and engagement across the industry.

Alysa Reynolds - Shipping Coordinator
Alysa grew up in Edgewood, Texas, where her passion for livestock and agriculture was sparked through years of showing Black Angus cattle. Her early involvement in the cattle industry helped shape a strong appreciation for the ranching lifestyle and a commitment to hands-on animal care. Alysa earned her bachelor’s degree in animal science from Tarleton State University and is certified in artificial insemination. She joined the Integrated Breeders team with a deep desire to grow her knowledge in cattle reproduction and contribute to the success of our clients and donors. Alysa’s long-term goal is to operate her own cow-calf operation, and we’re proud to support her as she builds a foundation for a strong and sustainable future in the beef industry.
